My practice consists of using found materials such as sand, clay, soil and plaster on found surfaces such as discarded boards, canvas and cardboard. Often concentrating on textures created using tools such as card, plastic, my hands and occasionally a paintbrush. I then define the texture further by using a limited palette of acrylic paints, colours usually consisting of browns, blacks and whites.
My work is purely organic, I paint with minimal planning or thought, and often lacks any obvious forms or intended imagery.
