I am a full-time student currently in my second year studying Contemporary Fine Art Practice at Hull School of Art & Design. I see myself primarily as a painter; however I am also interested in exploring and expressing my ideas through experimental film and sound pieces as well photography.
I often use found images and old family photographs as a starting point to my investigation, these images become meditations for me and I begin to respond to them in an intuitive way. I like to suggest some narrative in my work; this suggestion is always left to interpretation, I don’t want to supply a viewer with answers. I want my work to have more than just an initial response; I hope to achieve something that will have long lasting interest.
