Kingston Art Group is a collective organisation which has been providing studio spaces for visual artists from Hull and East Riding since 1989. The 18 artists who are based in the workspaces produce a range of work including figurative and abstract painting, sculpture and print-making. We are now at the point of expanding to 25 members and have developed an additional set of Workspaces in Humber Street where we will become a vital part of the developing creative quarter based in the Fruitmarket. In this new venue we will also be hosting a gallery space with an exciting exhibition programme of contemporary exhibitions produced by our studio holders and invited artists. There will also be an area in the gallery where local artists and members of the public can access a range of contemporary art, craft & design periodicals.
